Former Royal Alberta Museum Building Petition

Once you tear it down, you'll never get it back.

We are calling on the UCP government to engage fully with Albertans about the old Royal Alberta Museum (RAM) before any wreaking ball destroy this historic building.

Add your name to the list of Albertans calling on Danielle Smith and the UCP to consult.

Please note: The name and contact information of the persons who sign this petition may be made available to the public if the petition is tabled in the Legislative Assembly.

To: Legislative Assembly of Alberta, in the Legislature Assembled

We, the undersigned residents of Alberta, petition the Legislative Assembly to urge the Government of Alberta to:

  • recognize the importance of the former Royal Alberta Museum building, located at 12845 102 Avenue in Edmonton, as a centennial gift intended to recognize the remarkable social, cultural and physical features of Alberta, and
  • consult with Albertans, including First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples, as well as non-profit organizations, before making any decisions with respect to the former Royal Alberta Museum site, including demolition.
